Heart Strings
by Libbie Kerr

I was feeling kind of lonely
and very much unloved.
When I thought of a solution...
I'd give myself a HUG!

I wrapped my arms around myself
but they didn't fit just right...
To give yourself a hug
You have to squeeze real tight!

I needed something special
that would fit me all around...
I picked up a piece of string
that was laying on the ground.

I placed the string around myself
and tugged hard upon each end.
It was a wonderful hug I found
and one I now can send...
